Kenya/Tanzania wildlife eco-adventure

november 6th - 14th 2021 12 spots left!

Jennie of the Jungle and Off Season Adventures are teaming up to offer an exclusive eco-trip across Kenya and Tanzania. This is a trip you can feel good about taking! Off Season Adventures and Jennie of the Jungle support carbon offsetting and the local communities, so the majority of this trip cost goes directly to community development and healthcare, forest protection, and carbon offsetting. By traveling in the off-season, the local economy is sustained throughout the year. And Off Season Adventures directly supports community initiatives with local villages in Tanzania. During this trip you will have the opportunity to visit some of these projects. So whether you are a photographer, animal lover, beginner or avid traveler, this trip is for you!

Traveling with Jennie of the Jungle means lots of time with animals and conservation, so as a part of this tour we will be visiting a number of wildlife and conservation projects, including the Giraffe Centre, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and the conservation authorities at both the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks.

More about the community and conservation initiatives this trip supports:

By booking directly through local partners and guides, staying at locally owned & operated lodges, and by encouraging clients to buy local souvenirs, 90.31% of the full cost of all tours booked with Off Season Adventures has gone directly back into the local economies.

Off Season Adventures recently completed their first community initiative, the Kakoi Water Project - a project that will provide a year-round source of water to the village of Kakoi and its surrounding communities, which include three other villages, two schools, and a dispensary. These communities are encouraged to make an extra effort protect animals in the area.

The Giraffe Centre is a world-famous Nature Education Center whose main purpose is to educate Kenyan school children and youth on their country’s wildlife and environment, as well as give local and international visitors an opportunity to come into close contact with the world’s tallest species, the giraffe. The centre has helped in the conservation of the Rothschild giraffe with a breeding program that brought the animals back from the brink of disappearance in Western Kenya.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust serves as a rehabilitation center and orphanage for elephants and rhino. They also run an anti-poaching program, as well as conservation programs, habitat restoration projects, veterinary units, and community outreach.
